Method

Where the numbers come from.

Being cited by an answer engine became measurable rather than anecdotal in 2026. Three sources carry the figures used here, and each is first-party reporting on a property DigiSnax owns or operates.

Citation share. The percentage of all sources an AI system cites for a given question that come from the property. Reported by Microsoft in the AI Performance section of Bing Webmaster Tools.
Search position and impressions. Google Search Console for the same property, on a stated date window.
Referring domains. Bing Webmaster Tools backlink reporting, because authority earned nowhere else is not authority.

Where a figure is a sample rather than a census, or where the season flatters it, the study says so.
